Do You Have to Renew Your Credential?
Ensuring that your credential is up to date is one of the most important things a teacher must do. However, since its a process that only takes place ever five years, its easy to forget how to do it.
If you need to renew your credential, or are not sure if you do, just follow the instructions below.
Did you know that if your credential expires, you cannot be in the classroom teaching per the California Teacher Credential (CTC) Commission and LACOE will not issue you a paycheck? Don't let it happen to you. Renew your credential today and make sure that MUSD knows your credential is up to do date.
Step 1 -- Open a web browser and go to www.ctc.ca.gov/credentials/renew
Step 2 -- Click on Renew Your Document Online
Step 3 -- Login or Create a User ID & Password
Step 4 -- Follow prompts to renew your credential(s)
Step 5 (extremly important) -- Make sure to forward your confirmation email from the CTC to email@example.com
That's it! It's as easy as that! Remember, if you do not want to have your pay interrupted, please be sure to let the District know that your credential is up to date!
